The latest episode of Koffee with Karan 8 featured the presence of iconic Bollywood stars Zeenat Aman and Neetu Kapoor. The two actresses adorned the infamous couch of filmmaker-host Karan Johar, treating the audience to a delightful dose of cinema gupshups and mutual admiration. One of the standout moments of the show occurred when Zeenat Aman extended a sincere shoutout to netizens, acknowledging and appreciating their wholehearted acceptance of her presence on social media.

The actresses took a trip down memory lane as they reminisced about their shooting days and candidly shared stories about the challenges and successes they faced along the way. During the conversation, Karan Johar acknowledged Zeenat Aman’s impactful presence on social media. The 72-year-old actress attributed her social media success to the unwavering support of her kids, explaining how they inspired her journey into social media. “It was my youngest son and his partner,” she added.

Speaking about her experience on Instagram, Zeenat Aman highlighted the power of the platform in allowing individuals to express their views and raise their voices on important issues. She said, “Just these short little snippets, recollections, and anecdotes. And I think Instagram is such a wonderful platform.” The veteran star broke records as her following reached millions. Overwhelmed with the love and affection pouring in from fans, she took a moment on the show to extend a heartfelt shoutout to her followers, saying, “I was overwhelmed with the love and affection. Shoutouts to my people. Thank you!”

Zeenat Aman also addressed an emotional post on her social media account dedicated to the late actress Parveen Babi. The post served as a tribute, dispelling any lingering speculation about the rivalry between the two actresses. Both Zeenat Aman and Neetu Kapoor emphasised the mutual love and respect within the industry, rejecting the notion of celluloid rivalries.

Zeenat Aman started her acting career in 1970 and gained recognition with the success of Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971) winning a BFJA Award for Best Actress. She continued her successful career with iconic films like Don and Dharam Veer, Qurbani and Satyam Shivam Sundaram. However, her on-screen presence gradually diminished after marrying Mazhar Khan in 1985. The couple stayed together until 1998, and they have two sons, Azaan Khan and Zahaan Khan.
