Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare got married in Mumbai today. The couple got engaged in September last year in Italy. Two months later, they hosted an intimate engagement party that was attended by family and close friends, including Imran Khan, Aamir’s ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao and actor Fatima Sana Shaikh. Ahead of the wedding, the groom-to-be was seen jogging to the venue.
Instead of opting for the conventional horseback or a flower-decorated car, Aamir Khan’s would-be son-in-law reportedly chose to jog with his friends to Taj Lands End, the wedding venue. He was seen navigating through heavy traffic in a vest and shorts, as the paparazzi followed him. The video is now going viral on the internet.
Among the high-profile guests at the wedding are the Ambanis – Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani – who graced the occasion. Aamir was seen receiving them at the entrance. He warmly hugged both of them and ushered them in. Aamir and Mukesh Ambani were also seen sharing a laugh. Check out the video here:
The groom, in fact, got the marriage registered in the same vest and shorts. A video from the venue has been going viral now. In the video, one can see Ira decked up in a lehenga, while Nupur stuck to his gym clothes. Aamir was accompanied by his ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao on stage as the couple got married.
