Animal Creates History In North America, Ranbir Kapoor Starrer Becomes 1st Hindi Film To Cross $1 mn

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal is finally in theatres and has been getting positive reviews from critics and audiences as of now. Not just in India, the film is reportedly ruling across the world. On Friday, the official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle of Animal shared that the film has crossed $1 million in North America. With this, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has become the first Hindi movie in North America to acheive this feat.

“HISTORY IS MADE!! #Animal crossed $1 Million in North America premieres at 5:30 PM PST! First ever hindi film to achieve this feat! Many more records will be broken! #AnimalPremieres #AnimalTheFilm (sic),” the post read. Check it out here:

Previously, it was also reported that Animal will be ruling box office in India too in the coming days. As per the latest numbers, the film has so far sold 7,45,992 tickets for 12,539 shows. According to a report in Sacnilk.com, Animal has already earned around Rs 20 crore in the advance booking. While 5,75,197 tickets have been sold for the Hindi shows, 1,63,361 tickets were purchased for the Telugu shows.

Animal is co-written, edited, and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of Kabir Singh fame. The film marks Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna’s first movie together. It also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Tripti Dimri in key roles. The film revolves around a father and son’s toxic relationship. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given Animal an ‘A’ certificate. The film’s run time is 3 hours and 35 minutes. The film is clashing with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur. The film is directed by Meghna Gulzar.

Recently, Alia Bhatt also reviewed Ranbir Kapoor’s film and called it ‘outstanding’ and ‘Khatarnaak.’
