Alia Bhatt has come a long way in showbiz with rich content driven and commercial films. Most of her films and her on-screen characters have been impactful enough to leave a mark on our hearts. And more than that, the actress has also worked with great co-stars who have allowed her to shine. Having said that, Dear Zindagi was one such film of the actress, which cemented her position as one of the most promising faces in showbiz where she shared the screen space with Shah Rukh Khan. At the on-going Red Sea International Film Festival, she recently recollected working with him.
A video of the actress speaking about Shah Rukh is going viral now. She shared, “Shah Rukh really likes to rehearse. So the day before we sat and we spoke about the scene various times. Suhana was there, I remember. She was taking notes, she was being very diligent in a way. AbRam was there, really small and running around. We spoke about the scene and I was still going in and out in the days and was trying to be all cool and normal.”
Taking a trip down memory lane, the actress recollected the first day of shoot with him and revealed that she completely ‘froze’. “As we went on sets (Dear Zindagi), and we were doing the first shot together, I think I froze. My mind went completely blank because I couldn’t believe it. And then Gauri (Shinde) had to come and whisper in my ears, ‘You have to forget The Shah Rukh Khan’, and I was like, ‘Okay.’ Actually, my character had to give him attitude and I was like, ‘How to do this’.”
Meanwhile, the National Award-winning actress is currently shooting for her upcoming film Jigra. Alia is not just playing the lead in the film but is also co-producing it with Karan Johar. The film is directed by Vasan Bala of Monica, O My Darling fame. She is also rumoured to be collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Baiju Bawra.
