Will Steve Rogers And Tony Stark Ever Return To MCU? Marvel Boss Kevin Feige Has This To Say
When asked about reviving the two heroes, Marvel Studios head explained that while he had no concrete information, any revival would need to respect their legacies.

Hugh Jackman, who was thought to have retired his adamantium claws, is making a return as Wolverine. Many believed that 2017’s Logan marked the emotional conclusion to Jackman’s iconic portrayal of the beloved mutant. However, Marvel Studios has enticed him back for Deadpool & Wolverine. According to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, Hugh Jackman’s comeback could potentially open the door for other major MCU characters, such as Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, to return as well.

“That’s the key, right? How do you do it in a way that maintains what has come before, and in a great way? And we’ve been spending, you know, the last two-plus years figuring that out for Wolverine. So, what’s to come? We’ll see,” Feige shared in an interview with DiscussingFilm. “We’re just proud that we, I think, have figured it out for Wolverine. I think Hugh’s appearance and starring role in [Deadpool & Wolverine] is a great sign that it can be done, if great care is taken,” he added.

Back in 2020, Hugh Jackman had reportedly declared that Logan would be his last time playing Wolverine. However, it seems the merger of Disney and 20th Century Fox, bringing the X-Men into the MCU, helped the actor to change his mind, reports Comicbook.

In Deadpool & Wolverine, Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) will alter the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). The film also has actor Matthew Macfadyen as Paradox and Emma Corrin playing Cassandra Nova. Other important characters who will reprise their roles from the previous Deadpool films include Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Stefan Kapičić as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, Brianna Hildebrand who plays Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Rob Delaney as Peter and Lewis Tan as Shatterstar. Aaron Stanford will reprise his role as Pyro from the X-Men series, with Jennifer Garner rumored to return as Elektra Natchios.

Producers for Deadpool & Wolverine include Kevin Feige, Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy and Lauren Shuler Donner, with Louis D’Esposito, Wendy Jacobson, Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, George Dewey and Simon Kinberg as executive producers. Deadpool & Wolverine will be released in theatres on July 26th.
