Sobhita Dhulipala has caught everyone’s attention after she recently got engaged to Naga Chaitanya. Fans are eagerly awaiting any news about their wedding. Amid this, an interview with the actress from earlier this year has got fans buzzing. In the interview, Sobhita said that she is looking forward to motherhood next in life.
When asked about the meaning of life for her, Sobhita told ABP News, “I don’t think life can have a purpose. I do think that we come between two shores. There is a river, and life is that boat that passes from one shore to another. So I feel like in life, whatever you do, do it and enjoy it, but there is a certain detachment I feel towards everything. I can’t be too detached, because then we won’t have any ambition. But somewhere I walk the tightrope between being a little disconnected and doing my own thing.”
“From life, what do I seek? To be honest, I think the experience I look forward to is motherhood, whenever that happens. I feel it would be amazing,” she added. Sobhita also spoke about balancing parenthood and a career. “We don’t pick between taking care of our parents and going for a job. So I feel my role as a daughter and my role as a sister, my role at work as a professional and my role as a wife will work in parallel,” she said.
“I feel like even if someone is not very financially secure, very often, by being coupled, you feel like you have a partner who will support you. There are women who do a lot, and there are many stories of men who also support their wives in doing whatever they want to do. So I don’t think it’s this or that. I am very pro-balance. I have things that I’d love to experience, and I love to hit certain goalposts, but my idea of success is not vertical; it’s more horizontal,” the actor added.
Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got engaged last month. The couple was dating for almost two years before they announced their engagement. Making their relationship public, the couple shared a poetic message, quoting, “What could my mother be to yours? What kin is my father to yours anyway? And how did you and I meet ever? But in love our hearts are as red earth and pouring rain: mingled beyond parting.” This verse from Kurunthogai, translated by A.K. Ramanujan, beautifully encapsulates their love.
Reports are doing the rounds suggesting that Chaitanya and Sobhita are planning a wedding ceremony in Rajasthan. Speaking about his wedding, Naga Chaitanya said at a recent event, “Marriage is about the people who mean a lot to me. It doesn’t have to be a big fat wedding but people keeping up with the cultures and traditions in mind, so that’s how I want it (marriage) to be.”
On the work front, Sobhita was last seen in Monkey Man. The film was praised internationally but has not been released in India yet.
