Sanjay Dutt said that he's happy that Madhuri Dixit is settled and revealed he also met her kids.

Earlier seasons of Karan Johar’s popular chat show, Koffee with Karan, are known for celebrities giving their unfiltered opinions on their colleagues’ lives. Some of these opinions can also be quite controversial. As such, Sanjay Dutt, during an appearance with Anil Kapoor, once said that Madhuri Dixit should stop acting and go back to the US to take care of her kids. The clip has resurfaced on Reddit and gone viral in no time.

During the show, Karan Johar mentioned how Madhuri Dixit developed a different accent when she moved to the US. This left Anil Kapoor surprised. When Karan asked Sanjay if he was updated about Madhuri, he denied it.

Anil Kapoor then said, “We (him and Sanjay) both have a… I don’t know about him, but I have a soft corner for Madhuri. I cannot take any criticism about Madhuri Dixit.” Karan said, “Of course, he’s (Sanjay) had a soft corner for Madhuri Dixit.” Karan clarified that he wasn’t criticising Madhuri and Karan mentioned how the word “accent” implied a certain critique on his part.

Anil Kapoor said, “We (him and Sanjay) still love Madhuri.” Karan then asked Sanjay, “You still love her?” Sanjay replied, “Of course.” Karan asked, “Have you met her? She’s back in town.” Sanjay said, “No, yeah I heard. I just want to tell her to go home and take care of the kids. Be with the children, abhi kya acting karni hai?”

Anil Kapoor retorted, “Aise mat kar yaar, Sanjay. Aise kyu bhej raha hai?” Karan Johar then jokingly said that there is a “Madhuri Dixit factor” between Anil and Sanjay. Anil said, “Actually the only time I was jealous of Sanjay was that time.” Karan asked, “Because of the rumours between Sanju and Madhuri? Which we never confirmed on record by the way. They were just good friend.”

Karan asked Sanjay, “Were you just good friends?” Sanjay said, “Good friends, yeah… I’m very happy that she’s settled and I’ve met the kids… We did that India Day parade in Chicago and I met the kids.”

Several years later, Sanjay and Madhuri worked opposite each other in Kalank. The 2019 film was made under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions banner. It marked Madhuri and Sanjay’s reunion on screen. The film also featured Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead.
