Rajesh Khanna was not able to understand whom to refuse and whose film to agree to.”

Aruna Irani shared that the actor said to everyone, “All of you come to Chembur in the evening. I am shooting there; we will decide it there.” All the producers arrived at the appointed time, and Aruna Irani herself was present there. Then Rajesh Khanna said, “I do not want to upset anyone. So, it will be very difficult to decide whose film should be done. That is why I will draw the names through the lottery.” After this, the names of all the people were written on slips, and the slips were tossed.

By chance, Bappi Lahiri’s name came out in the lottery, and Rajesh Khanna agreed to do his film. Aruna Irani lastly said that she was present there herself and was surprised to see Rajesh Khanna’s stardom.
