Every year, Kajol helps hers as well as her cousin Ayan Mukerji’s family to organise Durga Puja celebrations near their residence in Juhu and this year is no exception. As the vibrant five-day-long festival is just around the corner, its preparation is going on in full swing. On Saturday, a video from outside the Ishq actress’ residence surfaced on social media that featured idols of several deities including Goddess Durga and Lord Ganesha arriving on a truck. This year, Durga Puja will be commemorated between October 9 to October 13.
Last year, during the festivities, the Dilwale actress was snapped seeking the blessing of the Goddess at the Durga Puja pandal along with her son Yug. She was seen clad in a pink saree, while her son wore a white kurta pyjama. Apart from her, several celebs including Rani Mukerji, Jaya Bachchan, Sumona Chakravarti, Ishita Dutta, Vatsal Seth, Tanisha Mukerji and Sharvari also visited the Durga Puja pandal in Juhu.
On the work front, Kajol was last seen in the anthology series Lust Stories 2 which premiered on the OTT platform Netflix. She will be next seen in the thriller film Do Patti. Helmed by Shashanka Chaturvedi and written by Kanika Dhillon, the thriller film co-starring Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh is set to stream on the OTT giant Netflix on October 25.
In the film, Kajol will be seen portraying the role of a cop, while Kriti plays the double role of twin sisters. The plot is set in the foggy hills of the fictional village Devipur, Uttarakhand and revolves around love, treachery and revenge, leading to a web of intrigue, deception and drama.
On Friday, the makers of Do Patti released the first track of the film titled Raanjhan. Sung by Parampara Tandon, the song is composed by Sachet-Parampara and features Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh.
Apart from this, Kajol will reportedly be seen in Sarzameen which marks the acting debut of Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan and also stars South actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. She also has an action thriller Maharagni: Queen of Queens alongside Prabhu Deva, Naseeruddin Shah and Jisshu Sengupta in her kitty.
