The video introduces the character of Kannada actress Tara as the mother of Dhananjay’s character.

Actor Daali Dhananjaya is awaiting the release of his film Kotee. Known for his stint with Colors Kannada, Parameshwar Gundkal, known popularly as Param in the industry, will be debuting as a director with this film. He recently donned the hat of the head of the Kannada cinema division at Jio Studios. The film marks Jio Studios’ foray into Kannada cinema. With the film’s release a few days away, director Parameshwar has released a special video on the occasion of Mother’s Day. The video introduces the character of Kannada actress Tara as the mother of Dhananjay’s character.

The video beautifully portrays the loving bond between Dhananjay and his on-screen mother. Along with the video which features scenes from Kotee, Parameshwar added a caption that spoke about his relationship with his mother.

In the caption, the debutante director wrote, “We call our mother “Aayi” in our village. The other day, when I went to the village, I had to leave by 4:30 in the morning. Knowing this, Aayi woke up at 4:00. Before I finished washing my face, she had already lit the stove and heated the water. By the time I finished my bath, she had made dosas ready. While I was eating the dosa, she prepared tea. No matter what brand of tea leaves are used, tea made by Aayi is always the best. While drinking tea that morning, I was sitting quietly holding her hand. After a long time, she asked, “Are you doing well in Bangalore?” She had said the same thing when I first set out for Bangalore. Aayi has been consistently caring like this for years. If there is one person who shows unconditional care without expecting anything in return, it is Aayi. Today is supposedly Mother’s Day. But for me, every day of the year is Aayi’s day. By the way, even our Kotee calls his mother “Aayi.”

On the occasion of Ugadi, the makers unveiled the first-look poster of Kotee. The poster features Dhananjaya with a lion mane hairstyle and his face covered with Rs 500 notes. The film’s teaser was released on April 13. Additionally, Dhananjaya is working on Anna From Mexico and the two-part gangster film Uttarakanda.
