Suriya Confirms Kanguva Postponed, Not To Clash With Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan: ‘We Should Give Way’
Kanguva has been postponed and new release date will be announced. Suriya confirmed the news himself

Suriya starrer Kanguva and Rajnikanth’s Vettaiyan were releasing on the same date October 10. But on a surprising note, Kanguva has been postponed and a new release date will be announced. Suriya has himself confirmed the news and mentioned that Rajinikanth is senior to him so the makers have decided to postpone the release and make way for Vettaiyan.

Speaking at the audio launch of his brother Karthi’s ‘Meiyazhagan, Suriya was quoted saying, “For over two and a half years, more than 1000 people have worked hard day and night for ‘Kanguva’ just to present a special film in Tamil cinema. From Siva to the entire cast and crew, they worked so hard in testing climatic conditions for two and a half years. I have a strong belief that hard work will not go away. I’m sure you [audience] will give that love and respect. When it comes, it will receive everything.”

He continued, “On October 10, ‘Vettaiyan’ is coming. We should give way to the film out of respect. He [Rajinikanth] is senior to me. He came to act when I was born. He has been an identity of Tamil cinema for over 50 years. I think it’s best if Superstar’s film comes out first. I believe you will be with me.”

Suriya explained, “‘Kanguva’ is a child. The child’s birthday is on the day when it is born. To celebrate its birthday and to make it a festival, I believe you will be with me. I will need your love and support. Please pray for ‘Kanguva’s team. Let it be an important day for all. “

Sharing the trailer on his X handle, Suriya wrote, “”Incredibly proud of all that we have done together as a team, thank you, have a very very happy birthday dearest Siva!! Here’s our #Kanguvatrailer for you dear all! (sic).” The video open with tribal people scene. They are gearing up for a war with Bobby Deol. Suriya’s character is portrayed as a ferocious daredevil, and the superstar is making a ravishing entry into the Pan-India market. It’s fair to say that the trailer is Suriya’s lion’s roar across India. The trailer beautifully depicts both prehistoric humans and our future. Such an imaginative and daring project could only come from the South.

Kanguva’ is the biggest and most expensive film of this year. With an estimated budget of over 350 crore, it’s bigger than the likes of Pushpa, Singham, and several other big films. Moreover, the film has been shot across seven different countries on various continents of India.
