Bollywood actor Anupam Kher bid his farewell to Ratan Tata after his sudden demise. Ratan Tata died on Wednesday night, two days after he was hospitalised and kept in intensive critical care. Following his death, Anupam Kher took to X and paid a tribute to the legendary businessman. He also shared an anecdote of the time he met the former Tata Group chairman in London.
“Good bye Mr. Ratan Tata!! THANK YOU for your life and your life lessons! Thank you for leaving behind a legacy. Not only for india! But for the whole world. A legacy of honesty, hard work, integrity, kindness, patriotism, gentleness, generosity, compassion and pride. Your legacy has inspired millions and will continue to do so for centuries,” Anupam Kher shared on X.
“On a personal note I will never forget our meeting in London few years back. When you very kindly said to me, ‘Mr. Kher! I like your comedy! You make me laugh!’ Thank you for every lesson Mr. Tata! You taught me how to live with values and principles of life! You will always remain my most favourite G.O.A.T. Jai Ho! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ #RatanTata,” he added.
Anupam also shared a video paying tribute to Ratan Tata.

Ratan Tata was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Monday after suffering a sudden drop in blood pressure and was in critical condition in the ICU. The news of his death was shared on late Wednesday night. Ratan Tata was known for his visionary ideas that helped propelled Tata Group reach new heights and philanthropy work.
His mortal remains will be placed at National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in South Mumbai. Public will be allowed to pay their respects between 10 am to 4 pm on Thursday. His last rites will be conducted later in the day in the Worli area of Mumbai.
