Rashmika Mandanna is enjoying the massive success of her latest movie, Animal. She’s at the peak of her career, busy shooting Pushpa 2: The Rule with Allu Arjun and just finished her 22nd film. But for Rashmika, the boundary between Hindi and South films doesn’t matter much anymore. In a recent interview, she suggested it’s time to see the industry as one, simply calling it the Indian film industry.
Rashmika said, “I think it’s about time that we start calling the industry as the Indian film industry because we are all in the entertainment industry, and we are all one country. And it’s high time that we start acknowledging that all the industries in our country are the same.”
Focused on breaking barriers, Rashmika is happy to see collaboration across different industries and languages. “We are all here to do some mad, cool films and tell some really cool stories. I love the fact that the barriers are going down, and people are working together in different industries and different languages despite where they belong. I’m really happy that I’m part of the change as well,” the actress said.
Meanwhile, the actress has said she would love to work with her rumoured boyfriend Vijay Deverakonda. Speaking with the entertainment portal Pinkvilla, Rashmika Mandanna said, “We’re definitely looking for a script together. It’s been really long, and I can see that fans are really waiting for our collaboration next time. And if something really interesting comes up, definitely.” The duo’s on-screen chemistry in the films Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019) piqued viewers’ interest, leading to speculations about their connection off-screen. They have been rumoured to be dating and even getting engaged.
Rashmika also recently made headlines as the first Indian personality to attend and present at the Crunchy Roll Anime Awards in Tokyo.
