The Marathi theatre heritage is rich in history, with various outstanding playwrights, authors and directors gaining audiences’ hearts with their different theatrical productions. Many plays from that era continue to captivate theatregoers and producer-directors even after many years. Some modern producers are daring to resurrect these old masterpieces with fresh casts. Meanwhile, several old plays are being revived and performed again. This approach brings viewers back to Marathi theatre.
One such drama that has joined this list is Nakalat Saare Ghadale, written by Shekhar Dhavalikar and directed by Vijay Kenkre. Produced by Navnit Productions and presented by Roopkatha Prakashit, this newly cast drama will premiere on June 1. The show is also backed jointly by Rahul Pethe and Nitin Bhalchandra Naik.

As per reports, the play focuses on today’s youth, which has its thoughts and viewpoints. Who’s right? Who’s wrong? How can we resolve the growing generational divide? Nakalat Saare Ghadale addresses these challenges via an exciting theatrical experience that presents a new view of ourselves, our relationships and our entire value system.
The soundtrack for Nakalat Saare Ghadale was created by Ashok Patki. The set design is done by Rajan Bhise, lighting by Shital Talpade, and costumes by Mangal Kenkre.
Shweta Pendse is a well-known Indian actress who usually works in Marathi films and television series. She has appeared in around 20 plays over her acting career. Shweta, on the other hand, has directed two films and several plays in addition to acting. Shweta is also a Kathak dancer.
