Periodically, industry insiders step forward to express their perspectives on the subject, highlighting how star offspring such as Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are frequently caught in its crossfire. Most recently, Jaideep Ahlawat, an established figure in the industry, addressed this contentious issue in an interview with Miss Malini. Taking a stance in support of star kids who have ascended to the ranks of A-listers, quoting Ranbir Kapoor’s name, Ahlawat refuted claims of nepotism, asserting that no star child had ever deprived him of a role.

Jaideep Ahlawat dismissed the notion that nepotism has personally impacted him, expressing confidence that established actors like Ranbir Kapoor or Varun Dhawan would not overshadow his career. He emphasized, “Do not cloud your judgment by assuming that someone is a good actor simply because they are a star kid.” Ahlawat went on to suggest, “Even if he had hailed from outside the industry, he would have transformed into the Ranbir Kapoor we know today.”

The acclaimed Broken News actor reiterated that his intention in entering the industry was not to emulate Ranbir Kapoor. Ahlawat emphasized that it is equally erroneous for any aspiring actress to aspire to be the next Alia Bhatt. “I am not here to be another Ranbir Kapoor; I am the first Jaideep Ahlawat,” the actor conveyed.

Jaideep Ahlawat’s journey in the film industry has been filled with challenges, inspiring many youngsters along the way. Despite facing numerous struggles, Jaideep’s determination shot him to stardom.

Jaideep Ahlawat wanted to join the Indian army but regrettably, he failed the entrance test. Following this setback, he discovered his passion for acting while attending theatre.

His acting journey started in 2008 with his debut in the short film Narmeen. Following this, in 2010, he gained recognition with roles in successful Bollywood films such as Khatta Meetha and Aakrosh.

Jaideep Ahlawat gained prominence in 2020 with his portrayal of Hathi Ram Choudhary in the web series Paatal Lok. This role had a profound impact on his life. In an interview, Ahlawat disclosed a phase in his career when he worked in films without fees. But his career has now taken a different turn since then. As recent reports suggest, he now charges a fee of Rs 20 crore per film.

Pinkvilla reported that Jaideep earned Rs 40 lakh for his role in the first season of Paatal Lok. His earnings saw a significant increase of 50 times for the upcoming second season, with him reportedly earning Rs 20 crore.

While it’s common for actors to increase their fees with each new season, Jaideep’s rise in the industry has left many astonished. His success story underscores an unforeseen resurgence in the industry.

Ahlawat compared his journey to a rollercoaster ride. Originally planning to join the Indian army, he shifted to the theatre instead. He later enrolled in formal education at the Film and Television Industry of India, where he was among his talented classmates. With their influence, he honed his skills and adjusted to the demands of the industry. Over the past 12 years, he has remained dedicated to acting.

Jaideep Ahlawat is best known for films including Raazi, Gangs of Wasseypur, and An Action Hero. The actor last appeared in the movie Jaane Jaan. He is soon going to star in a slew of upcoming films such as Maharaj, Ikkis and an untitled film with Saif Ali Khan.
