Jagga Jasoos Box Office Collection: Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif's Film Mints Rs 8.57 Cr On Day 1

Anurag Basu's directorial Jagga Jasoos finally saw the light of the day when it released on Friday after having been in the making for over three years. The film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif created quite a buzz even before the promotions began partly because of the delay in making and partly because of Ranbir-Katrina's much-publicised break-up.

The film, which has opened to mixed reviews, earned over Rs 8.57 crore on its opening day.

The opening collection, however, is much lower than Ranbir's last film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which earned a whopping 13.30 crores on its opening day but the film has fared better than Katrina's last release, Baar Baar Dekho.

Jagga Jasoos features Ranbir as Jagga, a young boy who is on a quest to find his missing father and sees Katrina playing a clumsy investigative journalist Shruti Sengupta.
