I Fill Empty Shampoo Bottles With Water: Vijay Deverakonda
Vijay Deverakonda once wore chappals at the promotion of his film Liger.

Vijay Deverakonda is one of the most sought-after stars in Southern cinema and rakes in a hefty fee for his projects. Despite acquiring stardom, he finds comfort in a middle-class lifestyle. He talked about it in an event organised by the Telugu Digital Media Federation in Hyderabad some time back.

The Arjun Reddy actor said, “My life has changed a lot, but in my head, I’m still that middle-class boy. I still have the habit of putting water when the shampoo bottle is almost empty so I make the most of it before throwing it away.”

Not only by using the shampoo bottles in this manner, but Vijay Deverakonda has also shown his middle-class mannerisms in his style statements. He made it to the headlines with a rather bizarre style statement by wearing chappals at the promotion of his film Liger. Deverakonda was not apprehensive about wearing chappals and promoting his film at events across India.

He had revealed the reason behind it in an interview with the Times of India. The 35-year-old actor said that he wears whatever he feels like. Deverakonda added that he is required to promote Liger for 30 days. As per him, looking for an appropriate set of clothes and shoes for everyday promotions would have taken a lot of his time. Therefore, he prefers chappals to make his life easier.

In addition to these reports, Deverakonda dominated the headlines for yet another reason. The Arjun Reddy actor confessed he auctioned the Best Actor Filmfare award for a staggering amount. In a recent interview, Deverakonda revealed that he is not attached to his awards and even admitted that he has distributed a couple of his awards. Amongst these awards, he gave one to the Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Vijay said that the award he auctioned brought him a good amount of money.

Vijay Deverakonda last acted in the film Family Star directed by Parasuram. Mrunal Thakur, Jayaram and others also acted in this movie which earned mixed to poor reviews from the audience. Critics criticised the outdated plot and over-the-top acting of Deverakonda.
