Hrithik Roshan’s cousin Pashmina Roshan is all set to make her acting debut with Ishq Vishk Rebound. The makers have dropped the highly anticipated trailer of the film and it has immediately caught everyone’s attention. Hrithik Roshan also gave a huge shout-out to his cousin and sent in his heartfelt wishes.
Sharing the trailer on his Instagram handle, Hrithik Roshan wrote, “Go #IshqVishkRebound..O! This was amazing! The Plot! It’s New, I Love It.”
The highly anticipated sequel to the 2003 released Ishq Vishk is heading for its release on June 21 this year. Titled Ishq Vishk Rebound, it is expected to explore love and its complexities through the lens of Gen Z. The rom-com features Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, Naila Grrewal, and Hrithik Roshan’s cousin, Pashmina Roshan in the lead roles. Ahead of its release, the makers have finally dropped the much-awaited trailer.
The trailer takes us into the world of modern love with a Gen Z twist with dating habits like ghosting, breadcrumbing, benching and caspering becoming the norm. The film features the main cast as college students who navigate mushy romances, true friendships and betrayal; as they guarantee the audience lots of entertainment. While the film marks Rohit Saraf’s first project as a lead romantic hero, Pashmina Roshan makes her acting debut. Jibraan Khan of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham fame and Naila Grrewal captivate audiences with this snippet of their performance.
Ishq Vishk Rebound stars Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, Naila Grrewal and Pashmina Roshan. The original film launched Shahid Kapoor. The remake has been produced by Ramesh Taurani and co-produced by Jaya Taurani under the banner Tips Films Limited and is all set to hit the theatres on June 28.
Earlier in an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Rohit Saraf spoke about Ishk Vishk Rebound and shared that he is not nervous about the film. The actor is rather excited to see how today’s audience will react to the movie. He shared, “I am actually very excited. Nervousness comes in just before a project is about to drop, but before that, there is just a ton of excitement. I am really looking forward to it. I feel like it is something that audiences will enjoy. My audience will enjoy.”
The actor also revealed that he will not be stepping into Shahid Kapoor’s shoes for the movie. He made it clear that the two movies have nothing in common except their names. “I am not stepping into Shahid (Kapoor)’s shoes. The only thing that the two films, Ishq Vishk and Ishq Vishk Rebound, hold in common is just the name. It is the franchise that is common. It is not stepping into anybody’s shoes. It is a very different story. It is a story about new-age love. It is a story about love and friendship in today’s world, in 2023,” Rohit said.
Ishk Vishk Rebound is produced by Ramesh Taurani of Tips Films. It is directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari.
