Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has been the iconic host of Kaun Banega Crorepati since its inception in 2000. His charismatic presence and interesting interactions with contestants have made the quiz-based show immensely popular in India. Currently, the actor is hosting the 16th season of the reality TV show, and like always, he brings a unique blend of emotions and humour to the show. The acclaimed actor is often seen interacting with contestants and audiences while also sharing interesting anecdotes about his childhood and personal life, which truly sets the show apart.
In the latest episode of KBC, a contestant named Kirti, who has been working as a banker for 9 years, shares with Amitabh Bachchan that she does not have an obsession with wearing jewellery. Furthermore, she asked Big B if he gifts jewellery to Jaya Bachchan.
The actor responds, “Kya cheez jewellery? Ab etna vyaktigat cheez puch lia hai. Ha hum dete hai (What, jewellery? Now you have asked such a personal thing. Yes, I give jewellery to Jaya).” Adding a hilarious twist to the conversation, Amitabh Bachchan turned around looking towards the audience and queried, “Income tax ka koi aadmi toh nai hai (There is no income tax person around).”
In another humourous conversation with Kirti, the star revealed about the marks he scored in maths in childhood. It all started when Amitabh Bachchan presented a question worth Rs 5,000. The contestant immediately replied to the question, which prompted Big B to praise her. He said, “Bank mei kaam karti hai devi ji aur math mei bahut aval hona padhta hai. Jhat se jawab de dia (She works in a bank, and so her math has to be good. She gave the reply instantly).”
Moving on, Kirti shared that she did not score more than 40 in that particular subject. But what came as a surprise was Amitabh Bachchan sharing the marks he obtained in the subject. The actor revealed, “I scored 42,” to which Kirti instantly replied, “You’ve scored more than me.”
In terms of his acting career, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi drama Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone. The 81-year-old actor will be next seen in Vettaiyan opposite superstar Rajinikanth. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the film will mark Amitabh Bachchan’s debut in Tamil cinema. Moreover, he has Section 84 and Be Happy in the pipeline.
