As per reports, Kartik Aaryan's Chandu Champion is inspired by the real-life story of India’s first Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar.

Kartik Aaryan has finally dropped the poster of his new film Chandu Champion. It features a striking photo of Kartik in a powerful, gritty pose. He looks lean and muscular, his body covered in mud, running with intense determination. This poster also sheds light on Kartik’s incredible physical transformation for the role. The movie is inspired by the real-life story of India’s first Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar, born on November 1, 1944, in the Peth Islampur region of Sangli, Maharashtra. Petkar, an exceptional athlete, excelled in multiple sports, especially wrestling and hockey.

He captioned the poster, “Champion Aa Raha Hai… Super excited and proud to share the first poster of the most challenging and special film of my career.”

On Tuesday, his mischievous pet Katori caused a delay in revealing the movie poster. Kartik shared a video on Instagram, that showed him chasing after Katori, who ended up ruining the poster. Kartik captioned the post, “Aaj se promotion ka shubharambh hona tha lekin Katori ne poster hi phaad dia. Ab kal hi ayega poster.” An upset Kartik tells Katori, “Yeh toh sabko dikhana tha! Yehi khaa gayi?” He then looks through the torn poster. Check out the video here:

The movie showcases beautiful locations in the United Kingdom. Filming took place at the London Aquatics Centre, known for the 2012 Olympic swimming events, Kew Gardens, featured in the historical drama Queen Charlotte, and Syon Park, a historic aristocratic estate in London.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kartik Aaryan is currently shooting for the horror comedy film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Kartik’s character, Rooh Baba, takes centre stage as he propels the franchise to new heights. Whereas Vidya Balan, who previously won hearts as the OG Manjulika, will take the horror thrill a notch higher.
