Brad Pitt And George Clooney Reunite After 16 Years In Wolfs; Watch Teaser

The first teaser for Wolfs, a forthcoming thriller from Columbia Pictures and Apple Original Films, features Brad Pitt and George Clooney together. They last appeared on screen together sixteen years ago, in Burn After Reading (2008). The first peek video, which was posted on Sony’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, shows Pitt and Clooney stranded in a car together.

The teaser for the upcoming film reveals a palpable tension between Clooney and Pitt, with an awkward calm pervading the scene. The only audible sounds are the gentle drip of rain and the repetitive swish of the windscreen wiper clearing the screen. The clip hints that the full trailer will be unveiled on Wednesday, May 29.

Earlier reports suggested that the actors would portray lone-wolf professional fixers who find themselves assigned to the same task. However, the names of their characters remain undisclosed at this time.

In September 2021, Wolfs was initially announced. George Clooney and Brad Pitt were signed to act and produce, while Jon Watts was slated to write and direct the thriller picture, which at the time had no title.

Most notably, Watts directed the three Spider-Man films produced by Sony and Marvel Studios: Homecoming (2017), Far From Home (2019) and No Way Home (2021), which starred Tom Holland in the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

Wolfs will star Austin Abrams from Euphoria and The Walking Dead, Poorna Jagannathan from Never Have I Ever and Amy Ryan from Murders in the Building in a supporting role.

There isn’t much information available regarding the characters that these cast members will play.

Wolfs’ production, which started in January 2023 in New York City, was temporarily put on hold in July because of the SAG-AFTRA strike but was subsequently put back on track once the strike ended. Following the acquisition of the film’s rights, Apple TV+ and Sony collaborated to release Wolfs in theatres.

GQ reports that the film will open in theatres on September 20.

In December 2023, Clooney told Deadline that he, Watts, and Pitt were “already talking about a sequel” for Wolfs, praising the film’s “great shoot.”

Clooney and Pitt have shared several on-screen appearances together in the past. The two also featured together in the Oceans franchise, in addition to Burn Before The Reading.
