Mumbai: Officials of Mumbai's municipal body, BMC, have started demolishing of a controversial ramp that was constructed outside actor Shah Rukh Khan's residence Mannat in Bandra, Mumbai.
On 14 February morning, BMC officials reached the spot which has according to BJP MP Poonam Mahajan, been causing inconvenience to the residents of Bandra. Khan had failed to remove it despite notices being issued.
Following complaints from the local residents of Bandra, Mahajan had written to the BMC chief, asking him to demolish the ramp set up next to Khan's bungalow Mannat. Khan's neighbours have complained that the ramp prevents access to a large portion of the road and blocks the route
The ramp is often used by Shah Rukh Khan to park his vanity van and locals have accused him of encroaching upon the road in front of his house.
