Bigg Boss Marathi Season 5, hosted by the actor Riteish Deshmukh, has started streaming on Colors Marathi at 9 pm and JioCinema. The participants include Indian Idol winner Abhijeet Sawant, actress and former Bigg Boss Hindi contestant Nikki Tamboli and others. Marathi actor and a small-time political leader Ghanshyam Darade has also participated in the show.
Ghanshyam shot to popularity 10 years back when one of his clips of speaking like a political leader had gone viral on social media. As per the reports, he was only 13-14 at that time but after watching his capabilities, people started referring to him as Ghanshyam as Chhota Pudhari (small leader). He hails from the Takali Lonar village, located in Shrigonda tehsil of Ahmadnagar district in Maharashtra, India. In the viral clip, Ghanshyam had targeted many prominent people.
He is known to have spoken fearlessly on many issues like electricity, water, agriculture, cooperation, market price, farmers’ suicide and solutions to drought. He has also become popular amongst the people for talking about the circumstances in his Takali Lonar village.
During the Assembly elections, a clip of his speech went viral and he came into the limelight. Therefore, Ghanshyam Darade became an overnight star as the electronic media aired his interviews. He even reached out to the help of the social activist Anna Hazare in 2019 during his hunger strike at the Ralegan-Siddhi, a village in Maharashtra. He had attended the seventh day of the hunger strike and said that all the people were with Anna Hazare.
Not only politics, but Ghanshyam Darade has also acted in a couple of films including Me Yetoy… Chhota Pudhari directed by Nitin Aswar. Nitin had also acted in this film which is streaming on Amazon Prime. This film, backed by Krishna Film Production, was released on January 12, 2018. He has also acted in the Marathi film Yaari directed by Chetan Sagade starring Pushpa Chaudhari, Sunil Godabole, Pranjali Pawar and others in key roles.
