Moreover, the actor has also given movie buffs a taste of his abilities as a singer, crooning the catchy ‘Po Po’ from the Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Son of Sardaar’. In this exclusive interaction with IBNLive.com, Bhalla talks about why he decided to participate in the show. Moreover, he also opens up about the positive influence his mother has had on his life.

What encouraged you to participate in ‘Bigg Boss 9’?

In the 1990’s I came out with a song titled ‘Dhuan’ which became quite popular. However, as the indie music scene was weak at that time, I could not really take my music career forward. Now, I hope to revive my career and enter the music scene again. ‘Bigg Boss’ by virtue of its reach is a great platform for doing so.

What is your strategy heading into the show?

I haven’t planned anything in great detail. As such, there is no big game plan that I have in mind. I just hope to have fun, interact with people and above all be myself. That said and done, my aim would be to avoid doing anything that harms my personal integrity. I want to the leave the ‘Bigg Bioss’ house with my integrity intact.

Whom will you miss the most while in the house?

There are two people I will miss a lot while in the ‘Bigg Boss’ house. And they are my son and my daughter. I am extremely close to both of them. In fact, they are my lifeline. There has not been a single second when I have not been in touch with them. Even when I am away, we stay connected through Skype or phone. However, once I enter the house, for the first time, I will not have any access to them.

On the professional front you are a trained singer yet people know you more as an actor. What is the reason behind this?

I could never really make full use of my classical music knowledge. When I started the market for classical music was very small. Hence, we did not come out with any classical albums. Perhaps that is why people know me as an actor rather than a singer today.

Now let us talk about Vikas the person. What is your philosophy in life?

I believe that life is very short and you live only once. As such, we must live life wisely and make full use of it. That way we won’t even feel the need for another li

Who is your biggest source of inspiration and strength?

My ultimate source of inspiration in life is none other than my mother. She is my spiritual guru and my guiding light. Whenever I face a problem, I seek her advice. And to say the very least her advice has always come in handy. Frankly speaking, I am total “Momma’s Boy’ and am extremely attached to her.

Lastly, what do you plan to do after ‘Bigg Boss’?

I am at a juncture in life where I don’t know what is going next. Everything is quite uncertain and frankly I don’t know what tomorrow holds. Hence, I don’t have any elaborate plans at present. But once I get done with ‘Bigg Boss’, I will be releasing a new single and restarting my music career.

What's your reaction?
