Avika Gor Recalls Being Sexually Harassed By A Bodyguard: 'Tried To Touch Me From Behind'
Avika Gor recalled an incident in Kazakhstan where a bodyguard touched her inappropriately while she was heading to the stage at an event.

Avika Gor, who started in showbiz as a child, has faced many experiences, both good and bad. In a recent interview with Hauterrfly, she shared that she was sexually harassed by a bodyguard. Avika described an incident in Kazakhstan where a bodyguard touched her inappropriately while she was heading to the stage at an event, leaving her shocked. She remembered feeling someone touch her from behind and, when she turned around, saw it was her bodyguard. It almost happened again, but she stopped him by grabbing his hand.

“I remember someone touched me from behind. When I turned back, there was only the security guard. I remember when I was going on stage, someone tried to touch me from behind. As soon as I turned back, I remembered that I had only seen the security guard and no one else. I remember that it was going to happen for the second time and I stopped it,” she said, adding, “It is shameful… I just looked at him and was like, ‘What?’ and he just apologised. So what do I do after that? So I just let it go. They don’t know what effect his act is having on the other person. At that moment, she wasn’t sure how to react. Now, she knows how to handle such situations. She said, “If I had the courage to turn around and give it, then I would have hit a lot of people by now. Now I think I can do it, but I hope it doesn’t come to that”.

Balika Vadhu, which began airing in 2008, soon became a sensation and its cast members including Avika Gor became household names. Since then, Avika, who started as a child actor, has become a familiar face in the Hindi television industry. She had already started acting at the age of seven and has since created a huge fan base for her performances and stylish looks.
