Amitabh Bachchan Shares Rare Childhood Photo, Reflects On Scouting Days: 'I Find It Difficult To...'

Amitabh Bachchan took a nostalgic trip down memory lane on Thursday, sharing a rare childhood photo in honor of World Scout Scarf Day on August 1. The actor revealed he was part of the Scout Troop at Boys’ High School, Allahabad, and shared a photo from his school magazine. The image, featuring Amitabh and his batchmates in Scout uniforms, was captioned with “The Winner Of Inter Troop Challenge Shield–Allahabad District (1954).”

In the photo, Amitabh stands in the third row on the right. Reflecting on those times, he wrote, “Those good ol’ days of Boys Scouts… the special scarfs… the badge… the special salute… Baden Powell its Founder… and how many of those learnings still being practised.”

On his blog, Amitabh shared more about his Scout days, posting additional photos and reminiscing, “Oh Gosh those were the days at BHS, Allahabad… and the scouting experiences with the troop and the visitor of the head of the Scouts from Australia and how he remembered the number of autographs he signed.” He described the experience as “quite remarkable.”

The actor mentioned that the old pictures seem rather grim and he finds it difficult to recognize himself. However, he still remembers most of his fellow Scouts, noting, “Strange is it not how you remember those early days and have problems remembering the recent meets.”

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan has been basking under the success of his recently released film Kalki 2898 AD. Recently, he took to his Instagram handle shared a photo in which he was seen handing from a wire while infront of him a hand like structure was kept. There were many lights also hanging. “Errr … KALKI at work !! Umm .. just hanging around,” read his caption.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan has started shooting for the upcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. Last week, the Bollywood superstar took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) handle and shared the first photo from the sets of the quiz show. In the black and white picture, Big B was seen spreading his arms as he seemingly welcomed the audience to the show’s new season. “T 5082 – BACK to KBC 16th season,” he wrote.

Amitabh Bachchan has been the host of KBC since its inception in 2000, except for the third season, which was hosted by superstar Shah Rukh Khan. During the last episode of KBC 15, Big B got emotional when he said, “Devi aur Sajjano, ab hum jaa rahe aur kal se yeh manch ab nahi sajega. Apno se yeh keh pana ki kal se hum yahan nahi aa payenge, na kehne ki himmat hoti aur na kehne ka mann hota hai. Main Amitabh Bachchan iss daur ke liye, iss manch se akhri baar kehne jaa raha hu, Shubraatri.”

KBC 16 was announced in April this year when the show’s makers unveiled a promo and announced that the registrations were open. However, the official premiere date of KBC 16 is not known as of now.
