Tamil actor Jayam Ravi has removed pictures of his wife, Aarti, and his sons, Aarav and Ayaan, from his Instagram account. This comes after the couple announced their decision to part ways. Reports suggest that Aarti denied him access to his social media handle despite multiple requests. Now that he has regained access, Ravi recently shared a photo of himself in a brown blazer and trousers, paired with a white tee. He captioned the image with, “The new me,” signalling a fresh start.

Following his divorce announcement, rumours that Jayam had already moved on and was reportedly dating Keneeshaa Francis, while Aarti was seeking reconciliation, circulated. However, the actor has firmly addressed these speculations, labelling them as false.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Ravi said, “I want a divorce. If Aarti wanted to reconcile as she states, why has she not reached out to me? Why has she not responded to the two legal notices I sent? Does this behaviour look like she wanted to reconcile with me? Will there be news about a ‘girlfriend’ if the intention was to reconcile?”
He also expressed his frustrations over the rumours involving Keneeshaa, saying, “How did these rumours about this person (Keneeshaa) start? Why should anyone drag a third person unnecessarily into this issue?” He clarified that his relationship with Keneeshaa is strictly professional, as they are planning to establish a spiritual healing centre together. “My divorce has nothing to do with this. This reflects badly on me and it also reflects badly on others involved, like our families. Has anyone thought about that?” he added.
When discussing custody of his children, Aarav and Ayaan, Ravi emphasised his unwavering commitment to them, stating he was prepared to engage in a prolonged legal battle if necessary.
“I want to produce a film with my son Aarav and introduce him to cinema at the right time. That’s the dream I have. When I acted with him in Tik Tik Tik six years ago, I had stated on stage at the success meet that that had been the happiest day of my life. I am waiting for that day again,” he further told the outlet.
On September 10, Jayram announce his separation with Aarti, ending a 15-year long marriage.
