Actress Debina Bonnerjee Explains How IVF Helped Her Conceive Twins

From the film to the television industry, the process of In Vitro Fertilisation, or IVF is making major headlines. One such couple, Debina Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary have been known to adopt the process and are now the parents to two daughters, Lianna and Divisha.

In a recent podcast, Kisine Bataya Nahi, hosted by Rubina Dilaik, the two shared their exclusive experience during the time of pregnancy. While discussing the unspoken and factual instance during motherhood, Debina shed light on her journey through the process.

During the session, Rubina asked Debina about her first reaction when she saw her babies for the first time. To which, the actress replied that she felt her heart was full after she saw her kids for the first time.

Many people might not know that Debina gave birth to two daughters in a gap of 7 months in between. Talking about the same, Debina discussed with Rubina that she did not give birth to the kids together but they were born in the same year which makes them Irish twins.

The actress, who married TV actor Gurmeet Choudhary in 2011, tried numerous times to conceive naturally. Following a series of failures, the couple decided to opt for IVF. Through the medical procedure, the couple gave birth to Lianna, while three months after the same, Debina and Gurmeet found out that they were expecting again.

According to Healthline.com, IVF is a process wherein the eggs from a woman’s ovaries are retrieved to fertilise them with the sperm. Then the resulting embryo is frozen for storage and transferred to the woman’s uterus.

Debina Bonnerjee is a television personality who has gained prominent recognition for her role as Sita and Lakshmi in the 2008 television show Ramayan. At the same, she was cast alongside her now husband, Gurmeet Choudhary. He played the role of Lord Ram and Lord Vishnu.

Apart from that, the actress has appeared in several Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada films including Ammayilu Abbayilu, Perarasu, and Six. Additionally, Debina garnered major recognition for her role in Chidiya Ghar, Tenali Rama, and Laal Ishq among others.
