Aamir Khan Says He's 'Emotionally Hurt' By Laal Singh Chaddha's Failure: 'Made So Many Mistakes In...'
Aamir Khan spoke about being emotionally hurt over the failure of his last film, Laal Singh Chaddha.

Aamir Khan is one of the most prolific actors in Bollywood today. He has portrayed various interesting and experimental characters in his career, and while some have been blockbusters, others have not been entirely well-received. Recently, Aamir Khan spoke about Laal Singh Chaddha not working well at the box office.

“It’s a film close to my heart. Advait, Kareena and the whole cast and crew worked hard and it didn’t do well. Two things happened, after a long time my film didn’t work, so family and friends would come home to ask me, If I’m okay?’ I realised that I’m getting a lot of love after a flop. That was the funny side of it,” Aamir Khan told ABP News.

“The real side is, failure teaches you what really has gone wrong. It gives you an opportunity to understand what was your mistake in terms of communicating that story. I gave it a lot of thought, it was a big learning for me. I remember telling Kiran once, I made so many mistakes in this film on so many levels. Thank God I made these mistakes in just one film. Emotionally, I’m hurt that the film has not worked, I’ve taken time to absorb the grief,” Aamir said.

Laal Singh Chaddha was released in 2022. It was an official Hindi remake of Tom Hanks starrer 1994 film called Forrest Gump. While Forrest Gump is a classic film, Laal Singh Chaddha didn’t perform well. The film was directed by Advait Chandan and Kareena Kapoor Khan played the female lead. Mona Singh also had a pivotal role in the film.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is busy gearing up for Sitaare Zameen Par and Lahore 1947. While the actor will be starring opposite Genelia D’Souza in the former, he will be producing his maiden collaboration in the latter which’ll see Sunny Deol in the lead.
