While other Bollywood stars have been sharing their pictures celebrating new years, Aamir Khan shared his new resolutions for 2019.
With as many as 5 resolutions this year, the actor wants to make the most his 2019. From getting back to the shape to make the best film of his career, Aamir plans to change the course of his personal and professional life. Wishing his fans a very happy new year he listed down his resolutions as, "get back in top shape, put into practice what I have learnt from my mistakes in 2018, make my best film yet, learn something new, spend more time with my mother, my children and (wife) Kiran (Rao)."
Concluding the note, Aamir apologised to anyone he might have knowingly or unknowingly, hurt.
2018 has been rough on Aamir Khan. His much much anticipated film Thugs of Hindostan failed to draw cinegoers and fell short of expectations. The film, which was touted as the biggest Hindi movie of the year, limped its way to the Rs 150 cr mark in India collection alone. Panned severely by critics and audiences alike for its formulaic story, bogged-down performances and ancient storytelling, the film struggled big time on the box office.
Acknowledging the failure of the film, Aamir said he feels “very bad” that he could not entertain the audience this time. He said that he takes the complete responsibility for disappointing the fans.
“I would like to take full responsibility for that. You can be sure that we tried our level best. There are people who have liked the film a lot and we would like to thank them. We are happy that they liked the film but that’s a minority. Majority of the people did not like the film and we are aware of the fact. So there is no doubt that we did go wrong. I want to apologise to the viewers who came to watch my film in the theatres as I was not able to entertain them despite trying my best. But those who came with so many expectations did not enjoy the film and I am feeling very bad about it," Aamir said at the award ceremony of India’s Storytellers Script Contest.
