Arthritis is a condition severely affecting the joints and other connective tissues in the body. Arthritis and other rheumatic diseases (conditions that affect the joints, tendons, muscles, etc) are often linked to people with old age but they can affect people of all ages. The two most common forms of arthritis are Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis.

1. Exercise: According to Ayurvedacharya Dr Jitendra Sharma, regular exercise can keep your knees healthy. Exercising also addresses the problems related to bones and joints and strengthens them.
2. Take a proper diet- As per the doctor, a diet rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin D, and calcium keeps the joints healthy. These compounds can be found in foods like flaxseeds, green leafy vegetables, and dairy foods.
3. Stay hydrated: According to the doctor, staying hydrated can strengthen your bones and knees. It lubricates the areas around the joints and also helps them to function properly.
4. Reduce weight- Weight loss can decrease arthritis pain and improve the quality of life of adults surviving with arthritis. This helps a lot, especially if they are overweight or have obesity. Shedding weight will also reduce the weight load on the knees and the joints.
5. Quit smoking- Smoking makes it difficult for your bones to absorb calcium. Lack of Calcium causes the bones to become weak. For this reason, it is essential to abstain from smoking. It improves the bones, joints, and overall health. Smoking also causes whole-body inflammation, one of the main triggers for arthritis. Inflammation is proportional to the number of cigarettes you smoke and the longer the time you smoke them.
It should also be noted that there is no cure for arthritis. The treatment can only limit the pain and inflammation and ensure the functioning of the joint.
