Hyderabad: Popular Telugu hero Mahesh Babu recently said he will adopt a village in Mahabubnagar district of Telangana.
"After much thought @KTRTRS garu and myself have chosen to adopt Siddhapuram village of Kottur mandal in Mahabubnagar district," he posted on a social networking site.
Mahesh Babu returns to his roots and adopts native village in his recent blockbuster 'Srimanthudu'.
The film was appreciated by Telangana IT and Panchyat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao, who is also known as KTR. After the success of 'Srimanthudu', Mahesh Babu had earlier adopted his native village Burripalem in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh as per the 'smart village' programme of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Popular south Indian actor Prakash Raj had earlier adopted a village in Mahabubnagar district.
