Hydration To Cleansing, 6 Bedtime Skincare Hacks For Healthy And Glowing Skin
A simple skincare routine can ensure glowing and hydrated skin, increase its elasticity and prevent the formation of acne or pimples.

Skin is the largest organ of the body, and covers the entire external surface. It acts as a protective barrier by preventing germs and bacteria from entering your body and bloodstream. While the skin does all of this, you need to make sure you keep it clean and rejuvenated throughout the day. A simple skincare routine can ensure glowing and hydrated skin, increase its elasticity and prevent the formation of acne or pimples. Here are a few bedtime habits that you must inculcate in your skincare routine to give your skin a healthy and glowing appearance.

– Clean your face

Before going to sleep at night and after waking up in the morning, make sure to clean your face with a mild face wash or cleanser. Before hitting the bed, make sure you remove all the makeup that you have applied and get rid of dirt and pollution from your face. This will prevent the accumulation of impurities which can block your pores and cause acne or pimples. Also, make sure to take a bath before you sleep, so that you can get rid of the sweat and dirt and feel fresh while hitting the bed.

– Hydration

Drink plenty of water before going to bed at night so that your body can flush out the toxins. This will automatically give your skin a healthy glow. Apart from this, make sure to also provide external hydration to your skin. Use a moisturiser at night. It can be a night cream or a light cream, whichever suits your skin type. Overnight your skin will absorb the product and make you feel moisturised and rejuvenated when you wake up in the morning.

– Eye Care

The skin around your eyes is delicate and hence needs more attention. Make sure to use an eye cream or serum to prevent wrinkling, dark circles or lines. Instead of rubbing, make sure you dab the product and let your skin soak it in.

– Use silk or satin pillowcases

If you have been using cotton pillow covers, then replace them with silk or satin pillowcases. Silk or satin is gentle on your skin and hair and prevents wrinkles.

– Bedtime snacks

On your bedside table, make sure to keep some almonds, walnuts, dried berries, raisins and dates as well. These contain vitamins, antioxidants, fatty acids and other essential nutrients that are needed by the body. Good nourishment both from the inside and outside will help you achieve healthy skin.

– Relaxing exercises

Before you hit the bed, do a few moderate exercises like meditation, breathing, exercise, or yoga. Not only will this help you calm down before you sleep, it will also help you in de-stressing. The less stress you take, the better your skin will be.
