There are some of the most loved food combinations that we enjoy daily. You will, however, be surprised to know that eating many of these combinations may have a devastating effect on our health. You should always be mindful of the fact that opting for the right and nutritious food combinations will keep you fit. Dr Sunil Arya, an MD doctor in Ayurveda from Gurugram has shared some of the food combinations that can badly affect your health.

1. Rice pudding, milk, cheese, melon, and radish should not be consumed with curd.

2. Consuming cold milk, water and honey in equal proportions with clarified butter can harm your health. You should always ensure that the proportion of clarified butter and honey should be different.

3. Consuming Armenian cucumbers and cucumbers together can have detrimental effects on health.

4. Eating betel leaf and jackfruit together should also be avoided. The oxalate found in jackfruit can cause a toxic reaction in the body when combined with the betel leaf compounds and can cause stomach problems.

5. Adding vinegar to the rice should be avoided.

6. People should abstain from the consumption of jaggery and milk with radish.

7. Rice-lentil porridge, jackfruit and roasted gram flour should not be eaten with rice pudding.

8. Peanuts, clarified butter, oil, melon, guava, cucumber and Armenian cucumber have a lot of nutritious value. Consuming something cold water with these foods can be harmful to the body.

9. One should avoid drinking water after eating the watermelon. Having excessive liquid after eating watermelon may lead to diarrhoea, bloating, or vomiting. It is best to avoid drinking water to prevent these major health ailments.

10. Combining cold water, fruit or cucumber with tea can disrupt the digestive process. It is because they are foods with different temperatures and might make the person feel nauseous. After the consumption of tea, people should avoid consuming anything for at least half an hour.

11. The consumption of foods like garlic, radish, milk, and curd along with melon can prove detrimental to health.
