Amit Shah to Mamata Banerjee: West Bengal’s Pandal Politics Peaks Ahead of Durga Pujo
As Durga Pujo is the biggest festival in West Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Trinamool Congress (TMC) have given direction to party leaders to connect with people

The pandal politics is at its peak in West Bengal ahead of Durga Puja celebrations.

While Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir will be inaugurated in January, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday got inaugurated a Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata, which recreated the design. At the same time, Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee inaugurated various pandals virtually.

At the event, Shah said, “Today, we will not talk politics. I will come to Bengal after this and will give full strength to bring about a change in the state. Will pray to God to ensure the atrocities and corruption in Bengal end soon.”

Experts say as Durga Pujo is the biggest festival for the state, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has given direction to party leaders to connect with people.

Bengal BJP leader and Puja committee secretary Sajal Ghosh said, “This is my dream come true. We will give our life for the party. This is a great boost for us.”

Banerjee too has inaugurated more than 1,000 pujo pandals virtually and has instructed all leaders to be with people.

Two days ago, Abhishek Banerjee, TMC’s national general secretary, said, “People who used to say Durga Pujo does not take place in Bengal are coming here to inaugurate it. It says it all.”

West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose, too, has visited various pandals. He also put out a pujo good wishes video message, where he, too, mentioned that he will continue his fight against violence and corruption.
