A 28-year-old youth was arrested for allegedly pasting posters of pictures with his estranged wife around her house, after the girl's family fixed her second marriage,the police said on Tuesday.
The incident happened on Monday, when accused Neeraj, a resident of Civil Lines put up posters in Shastri Nagar area Vikaschandra Tripathi, Circle Officer said.
During interrogation, Neeraj claimed that since 2009 he was in a relationship with the 22-year-old girl, a resident of Shastri Nagar, and they had eloped and got married.
But after their relationship turned sour, the girl returned to her parent's house. When the woman's family saw the posters, they complained to the police and a case was registered, following which, Neeraj was arrested, the police said.
