Led by Youth Congress central zone president Ankit Parihar and outfit's national secretary and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh affairs Srinivas BV, activists handed over a memorandum to authorities, addressed to the Governor demanding a CBI probe into the incident.
Addressing the party workers, Parihar said ever since the Samajwadi Party government has come to power, crime has spiralled and criminals were being shielded.
