Bangkok: The Bachchan family walked down a green carpet on Friday night, greeted by loud cheers from fans as Sarkar Raj, the highly anticipated sequel to Sarkar, had it's grand premiere at IIFA 2008 in Bangkok.
Big B seemed to be a little nervous. "This is the day we've been waiting for. I have butterflies in the tummy,” says actor Amitabh Bachchan.
However, Abhishek was quite confident about the film. "Watch Sarkar Raj because it's an awesome film,” says Abhishek.
And Aishwarya was just glad to be in Bangkok. She says, "The last time I came to Bangkok was a long time ago for a modeling assignment. I'm happy to be back here.”
Also in attendance at the premiere was the anti-thesis to the RGV school of filmmaking, Karan Johar.
"It's a follow-up to the great trilogy of Company, Satya and Sarkar. I'm eager to watch the film, also because it has Aishwarya in it,” says filmmaker Karan Johar.
Meanwhile, for director Ram Gopal Varma, Sarkar Raj is his best bet to redeem himself at the box-office.
"Watch Sarkar Raj if you liked Sarkar. It's got great performances, more plot and great sequences,” says filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma.
However, he adds that he is not at all nervous about the release of his much awaited film.
