TIRUCHY: The bodies of the air crash victims are likely to reach Tiruchy in the early hours of Wednesday (September 28). Speaking to Express, P K Thiyagarajan, national president, Institution of Valuers, said, “The bodies of the victims would be kept for two hours at National College Higher Secondary School Grounds, Chinthamani, near Chathiram Bus-stand, to facilitate the family, relatives, friends, colleagues, workers, including masons, labourers and the public to pay homage.”After the homage, the bodies would be handed over to the respective families to perform the last rites.Sources said that of the eight victims, the body of A K Krishnan would be buried and the other seven would be cremated. The bodies of Kattur Mahalingam and Thiyagrajan would be taken to their respective native villages. Thiyagarajan informed that a 10-member team that includes eight members from the victims family, Kumar, MP, and Anand, the Resident Commissioner, have reached Kathmandu and identifying the bodies was under way.He added, “We would be in a position to give a clear picture and confirm things only by tomorrow (September 27), at 3 p m.”All arrangements are undertaken by the collective efforts of various associations that includes Builders Association of India, Tiruchy Chapter, Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association India, Tiruchy, Institution of Valuers, Tiruchy Chapter, Civil Engineers Association of Tiruchirapalli, Indian Institute of Architects, Tiruchy Centre, TN Chitfunds Association, Travel Agency Assn of India, South TN Chapter, Tiruchy Travel Federation and CII.
