BANGALORE: A  Motor Cycle Expedition, “Vayusena Dakshin Parikrama”  of No 2 Air Force Selection Board, Mysore, which was flagged off from Mysore by Air Marshal SP Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Air Command arrived at the Air Force  Station, Chimney Hills in Bangalore on Thursday.The expedition would traverse the six states (Mysore through Bangalore-Mangalore-Goa-Maharastra-Andhra Pradesh- Tamil Nadu-Kerala). A group of 15 air warriors including Group Capt IVR Rao will cover approximately 5,000 km in about a fortnight.The expedition is aimed at serving a two-fold objective, first of which is to justifiably honour the unit and its achievements over the last five decades but more importantly to spread the desired awareness amongst the youth about the profession of Armed ForcesThe NO 2 Air Force Selection Board is a premier institution of the IAF established in 1962 and entrusted with the responsibilities of selecting potential officers of the Armed Forces.
