Washington: A US trade panel has agreed to investigate a complaint that Nokia, Research in Motion, HTC Corp and LG Electronics infringed patented technology held by FlashPoint Technology.

The US International Trade Commission said on Thursday it would examine FlashPoint's accusations that the four infringed patents for "electronic imaging devices," such as digital cameras in cell phones, laptop computers and personal digital assistants.

FlashPoint has asked for a ban on imports of the infringing devices.
