The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), which is in the process of finalising a panel comprising three senior IPS officers, one of whom will be appointed as the Director General of Police, has written to the state government seeking additional details about the service record of senior IPS officer, SA Huda.
According to sources, the UPSC has sought Huda’s up-to-date Annual Confidential Report (ACR). “His up-to-date ACR has been sent to UPSC,” sources said.
Huda is a 1979 batch IPS officer, presently working as Director General of Police (Law and Order).
The government had earlier sent names of eight IPS officers including P Gautam Kumar (1975 batch), Umesh Kumar and V Dinesh Reddy (1977 batch), Ashok Prasad, Aruna Bahuguna, B Prasada Rao, TP Das and SA Huda. ens
