Azamgarh: A teenaged girl was allegedly abducted and gangraped by four persons in a moving vehicle in the Phulpur area of the district, police said on Monday. The incident took place on Sunday when the class XII student, on her way back home from a tuition class, was abducted by the accused and gangraped by them, Superintendent of Police Arvind Sen said.
The survivor was rescued four hours later by police, who found her in an unconscious state near Pallia village, he said. The girl had been admitted to hospital, the SP said.
He added that a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
