CHENNAI: In a bid to improve the employability of engineering graduates in information technology and information technology enabled services (ITES), National Institute of Technology in Tiruchirappalli is implementing a project funded by UK-India Education Research Initiative (UKIERI) called Business Life.The project titled ‘Preparing Graduates for Business Life’ will be executed jointly with Brunel Business School, Brunel University, London another and another UK education institute, Uxbridge College.Addressing a press conference here on Friday, director of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Dr S Sundarrajan and dean Research and Consultancy NIT Ganesh Kannabiran said the project aimed at providing an opportunity for developing a model curriculum and training manual. “The same will be used to conduct few Business Life (Finishing schools) programmes and also a faculty development programme.“The new joint project is aimed at incorporating some of the best practices of the Brunel Business School in designing, delivering a model curriculum and training manual to be used in Indian context,” said Ashley Braganza, professor of Brunel Business School to India, who is heading the fact finding team in this regard.
