Two hurt as clashes break out in Tiruchy

TIRUCHY: Two groups carrying Vinayaga idols for immersion clashed on Saturday night, which left two youth injured.During the processions, two groups of processionists, one from Woraiyur Panickar street and another near Vekkaliamman temple, clashed with each  another, while they were proceeding to immerse the idols in the Cauvery river.Two youth Chandru (22) and Jagadeesan (25) were injured and admitted to the government hospital here. Police intervened and pacified the groups.
