HYDERABAD: TRS, BJP and the CPM took strong objection to Union home minister P Chidambaram’s statement seeking a fresh resolution by the state Assembly for deleting 14 (f) from the presidential order.They also demanded the Central government to direct the state government to postpone the SI written test exam scheduled to be held on August 13.“Chidambaram should stop making such statements. The 14 (F) makes Hyderabad a free zone for employment. All Telangana people want it to be deleted as it is against the interests of the region. Even the Assembly has also passed a resolution. Why reiterate again?” TRS leader E Rajender told reporters on Tuesday.TRS leaders T Hareesh Rao and K T Rama Rao also condemned the statement. BJP senior leader B Dattatreya on Tuesday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on this issue. Home minister’s statement indicates that he did not have any respect for democracy, the letter said. CPM MLA J Rangareddy alleged that Chidambaram was provoking the people of the state by making such statements.
