New Delhi: Ten coaches of a passenger train derailed near Navapur, nearly 300 kilometers northeast of Mumbai in early on Friday, injuring at least 40 people, 15 of them seriously, news reports said.

The rescuers have taken the injured to the nearby Navapur Civil Hospital, Chinchpada Civil Hospital and Nandurbar Civil Hospital and authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
All goods trains and other passenger trains on the route have been delayed.
