Thrissur Collector ensures safe travel for Tamil

THRISSUR: District Collector P M Francis denied reports that Kerala-bound buses were attacked in Thrissur, and affirmed that every step is being taken to ensure the safety of the travellers from Tamil Nadu to Kerala. He was responding to a report that a bus coming from Kovai was burned in Thrissur. “Except for a minor incident in which some hooligans pelted stones at an inbound outstation bus, no untoward incident has taken place in the district.Those involved in the incident were arrested. We have provided police protection to pilgrims from Tamil Nadu who are visiting Sabarimala as well as others who are entering the district via Kuthiran. There is nothing to fear for the Tamil brothers here, let me assure you,” Francis said.
