Three of family held

SALEM: The Special Cell for Land Grab cases of the Salem District Police on Monday arrested three members of a family.According to the special cell sources, Janarthanan of Paramathi Vellore in Namakkal district had complained to the superintendent of police N M Maylvahanam that Aarayammal owned 86 cents of land in Akamapet in Sankagiri.Based on her will the land was transferred in 1993 in the name of his wife Yasodha and nephew Saravanan. Later, Venkatachalam, Varadarasan and Nagappan, sons of Lakshmanan Mudaliar of Pallipalayam fabricated documents and sold the land. The SP ordered the Special Cell to conduct a probe. Following an investigation, the trio were arrested.
