TIRUCHY: Three persons were killed and 37 others injured when an omni bus collided with a tourist bus at Samayapuran, near here, on Saturday.Sources said the omni bus bound for Chennai from Thoothukudi was nearing the Pallividai bridge near Samayapuram around 2 am, when its driver Rajan (35) tried to overtake a lorry, but lost control and rammed into a tourist bus coming from Puducherry.Three passengers of the tourist bus - G Subasini (23), P Dilip Bharath of Kavikuyil road, Puducherry, and P Dilip Bharath (12) were killed on the spot.As many as 37 persons, including Thyagaraja Sharma (35), driver of the tourist bus, suffered injuries.Samayapuram police arrested omni bus driver Rajan from Tirunelveli.
